QUESTIONS & AMSWERS Q. Do you take orders and or credit cards by phone? A. Sorry, but we cannot take phone orders. We are a small business and simply do not have the time or resources. You can pay by credit card through our Paypal partner. Q. Do you accept international orders and if so, what are shipping costs? A. Absolutely! We have customers from around the world. For Airmail shipping worldwide add $2.50 (to total $5 USD). Q. How should I choose a size? A. The small size is made for petite women and children under 5’ and 100lbs. The medium size fits smaller men and average sized women while the large size is made for average men and larger women. Q. What if the size I choose is not right for me? A. Simply return the eye patch unused with $2 and a note specifying the desired size. The $2 helps defray the cost of packaging and shipping a new patch. Q. How do I clean my eye patch? A. The traditional, triangular and new oval eye patches are made of two components. The outer layer of leather is coated with a protective finish and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Shoe polish can also be used to keep it looking new. The inner portion can be cleaned with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol - just be careful not to get the alcohol on the leather portion. The band can be cleaned with baby shampoo and water. Ultrasuede patches can be hand or machine washed. Q. How long will my eye patch last? A. With daily wear you should expect to get sixty to ninety days of use out of each eye patch. However, many customers report getting as much as six months from a single eye patch. We recommend replacing your patch after a maximum of 90 days (of daily use) for sanitary reasons. Q. Why are your eye patches sent with the bands separated? A. It is difficult to determine the exact band tension for every person. Further, the elastic bands tend to stretch over time and require readjustment. Q. Is it necessary to install the O-Rings? A. Two O-Rings are sent with each eye patch as an option for securing the band. However, many people choose to simply tie a square knot in the band. Q. Can you install the "O" rings for me? A. Yes, for a charge of $2.50 we will install the rings. Just let us know the length from the corner of your (patched) eye to the center rear of your head. Q. Can I wear your eye patches under glasses? A. Our patches will fit under most styles of eyeglasses, however it depends on the placement of nose-pads and other factors. The oval size is smaller and fits best under eyeglasses. Q. Do you offer quantity discounts? A. Yes, contact us for prices Q. I need an eye patch immediately. How long does it take to ship? A. Due to the increase in volume, orders for our custom hand made eye patches are generally shipped within 15 -17 day after payment is received. First Class mail usually takes an additional 3 working days to arrive. If you need and eye patch immediately we ship our temporary plastic and the new Snugfit satin eye patches within 48 hours of payment (holidays and weekends excluded). Q: Do you offer Refunds if I change my mind after I order? A: Sorry, but due to the nature of our product we cannot offer you a refund if you have “buyer’s remorse” or change your mind after your payment has been received. This may seem unfair, but please consider that we cannot resell a patch once it has been worn.   Q: What if I order the wrong size? A: We encourage you to carefully consider the size that would best suit your needs. If you are not sure about which size to order, write and let us help you choose. However, if you do order the wrong size, we will exchange your patch for a different size if your return it unworn, in the original package and within seven days of receipt.
